FDA Warns Seller of Fraudulent COVID-19 Products

April 09, 2020: “The U.S. FDA has issued warning letters to three sellers of fraudulent COVID-19 products. There are currently no approved preventatives or treatments for COVID-19, the FDA said in a statement.


According to the FDA, the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing sold fraudulent and dangerous chlorine dioxide products known as “Miracle Mineral Solution” to prevent and treat COVID-19. But, the FDA said it is not aware of any scientific evidence supporting their safety or effectiveness and they pose significant risks to patient health.”

“Similarly, Savvy Holistic Health dba Holistic Healthy Pet sold fraudulent products with misleading claims about the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people and pets. The FDA alleged that CBD Online Store also offered unapproved and misbranded CBD products with misleading claims that the products are safe and/or effective for the treatment or prevention of Coronavirus.
As of Thursday, Over 1.5 million novel coronavirus cases have been reported all over the world, with 88,500 reported death. The United States has more than 435,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, and more than 14,700 people died.”
